Welcome!

The Results page on the right shows how the output from the database is displayed. It contains a single database record, and each record relates to one verse line in the corpus of texts. The whole database contains 162,125 records.

Each box in the Results page stands for a field in each record. The horizontal bands divide the page into the following sections:

  • basic text data
  • rhyme and rhyme words
  • phonemic patterns, including alliteration and assonance
  • accentual rhythm, metre, and word accents

The labels next to each box are all links. You click on them to go to the relevant point in an information page for each section.
